(p.s- i also define Floopy as feeling a bit generally down and you're not necessarily sure why)
Today is a floopy day. How do I know? Well I didn't really sleep well, I got woken up about a minute before my lecture (which I really hate, I like to psych myself up with a cup of tea, some peanut butter and an episode of gossip girl), I was super super hungry when I woke up so ended up overindulging and then had a pang of homesickness when I saw a clip of SAS who Dares Wins on Facebook (it's my mum and I's programme).
Also is v stressful work time and i am seriously triggered about my foot
So what did I do
Well, after a couple more mouthfuls of peanut butter (simple pleasures I know) I got out of bed, got dressed, and watched my lectures. Now based on what I was feeling, that was a pretty big win in my eyes.
What else will I do for the rest of the day? Well, I'll force myself to go and do a swim set. Although I definitely am not feeling it, we all know that we never regret exercise, and after I swim I always feel ten times better.
Will I restrict my eating for the rest of the day because I had a bit too much peanut butter this morning? Definitely not. I'll just do my best to eat well for the rest of the day. I think I'll probably have a nice juicy salad for lunch, with chicken, tomatoes, chia seeds and lots and lots of pickled beetroot (its my new fave thing-super nutritious and super low in calories... also super yummy!)
I'll be chugging tea like no tomorrow, and I might even have a cheeky power nap later
But what I'm not going to do is get annoyed at myself for having a floopy day. Especially during this time floopy days are a lot more regular than they usually would be. And that's okay.
So look after yourself folks-and don't get mad at yourself if you have a floopy day X
